BUT NOT FROM THE SKIES ABOVE,

TEARS, LIKE RAINDROPS, FELL WITH GRACE,
STREAMING DOWN MY CHEEKS, SALTY IN TASTE.
FOR ONCE, MY THOUGHTS IN DISARRAY,
PONDERING ON NAUGHT, LOST IN THE FRAY.
WHY DOES MY MIND OSCILLATE, SEEKING SORROW’S EMBRACE?
WHY THIS FEELING OF BEING ADRIFT, IN NEED OF SAVING GRACE?
MANY QUESTIONS LINGER, ANSWERS OUT OF SIGHT,
THEY SAY WRITERS WEAVE TALES, BUT I WRITE MY INNER LIGHT.
